Democracy in Africa Research Unit (DARU) Visiting Research Fellowship, University of Cape Town, South Africa

Visiting Fellows will normally spend six to twelve months at UCT. They will be expected to build local research and analytical capacity, conduct systematic research, analyse data and present findings to CSSR seminars. These findings will initially be published in the CSSR Working Papers series. Fellowship projects collecting new data should also generate a data set that can be archived in the CSSR Resource Centre for use by future researchers.

Georg Forster Research Fellowships

Fellowships are designed to promote the transfer of knowledge and methods and to contribute to further development in fellows' home-countries, they are focussed on humanities and social sicences, political science and economics, projects in the public health sector and in the fields of agriculture, forestry and geosciences, and

The Five College African Scholars Program

The Five College African Scholars Residency Program works to strengthen intellectual capacity in African universities and to enrich Africa-focused scholarship at the Five Colleges and internationally. It does so by bringing junior and mid-level African scholars, employed by and teaching in African universities and with active research projects with an African focus, for 5 and 10 month research residencies at Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, neighboring institutions associated in the Five College Consortium centered in Amherst, Massachusetts.
